Backpacking is simply being an independent traveller on a budget, moving around the country or world with a travel bag. Usually accomadation is at hostels $15-25 usd p/n sharing dormatries with other like minded travellers doing simalar travelling.
Eating on the cheap side of town . Exploring a different way of life to the one you used to ussually
It could be camping with a tent or campervan. It could be staying at somones house for free.
It's about experiencing freedom from what your used to at home.
